TrackRemote help center
Find answers about logging time, sharing reports, and managing saved weeks.
Getting started
How do I create my first report?
Open the tracker and use New week or the settings icon beside the reporting period to choose the dates, title, and author. Add your first tool and its hours, then write your weekly summary and project updates. Your report preview updates as you work.
Do I need an account? Is it free?
The web tracker is free to use and opens without an account.
Does TrackRemote automatically record my app usage?
You enter your own time. TrackRemote has no background timer, screen recording, or automatic app monitoring.
Can I use a different reporting period?
Yes. A new week defaults to Friday through Thursday. Open report details to change the start and end dates for your payroll, client, or project schedule.
Drafts and sharing
Where are my saved weeks?
Use Saved weeks in the tracker on the browser, browser profile, and device where you worked. Drafts live in that browser’s storage. Opening another browser or clearing site data can make those drafts unavailable.
Can my manager or client open a report without an account?
Yes. Select Share report, then Publish link. Send the complete link, including the part after the #. Anyone with that full link can open or download the published snapshot.
Do edits change a previously shared report?
Published links open a snapshot from the time you created the link. To send an updated version, publish a new link.
How do I revoke a link?
Open the original draft in the browser that published the report. Select Share report, find the link under Published links, and choose Revoke. Recipients may still have previously downloaded copies.
PDFs and devices
How do I save a PDF or put it in Google Drive?
Select Download PDF for a local copy. For Drive, choose Export options, Google Drive, then Download and open Drive. Upload the downloaded PDF to the folder you choose.
Can I use TrackRemote on my phone?
Yes. The tracker and shared reports work in a mobile browser. Keep using the same browser on that device to reopen your local drafts.
