PRIVACY
How TrackRemote handles your data
What stays on your device, what gets stored when you share, and what recipients can see.
Drafts and time entries
The tracker opens without an account. Drafts, tool names, hours, and notes are saved in the browser profile you use. Drafts don’t sync across browsers or devices. Delete a draft from Saved weeks or clear the browser’s site data to remove that local copy.
Published reports
When you choose to publish, your browser encrypts a snapshot of the report. TrackRemote stores the encrypted snapshot, a report ID, a creation timestamp, and a hash used to verify revocation. The decryption key is in the part of the link after the #. Anyone who gets the complete link can open and download the report.
Revoke a published link from the original draft to remove the hosted snapshot. Deleting the draft alone leaves links active and can remove your ability to revoke them. Revocation doesn’t erase copies recipients already saved.
PDFs and Google Drive
PDFs are generated in your browser. If you upload a copy to Google Drive, that copy is handled by Google under its privacy policy.
Contact messages
The contact form saves your message and its submission time for private review.
Website requests
Cloudflare hosts the site and sharing service. It processes requests to deliver the site and protect the service. TrackRemote uses the request IP address to limit how often reports can be published or messages submitted.
Questions
Contact TrackRemote if you have a question about a draft, a published report, or how the service handles data.
